The project consists of 4 main phases:
- State-of-the-art Identification (WP2 and 3)
- Adaptation and Development (WP4, 5 and 6)
- Evaluation and Validation (WP7)
- Appraisal and Operation (WP 8 and 9)
The Consortium Agreement will be prepared and signed, the Procedure and Management manual will be created as well as the management system of the project, including the on-line management tool (WP1).
In the State-of-the-art identification phase, the aim is to obtain a view of the current status regarding the needs of managers, administrators and (medium and low) executive panels of European SMEs in terms of executive coaching techniques for people management as well as materials and contents available in this field. To that end, a methodological framework will be developed (WP2) to set the guidelines of this analysis (WP3) and to create a map of techniques, materials and content (WP4 and 5).
The goal of the next phase is to adapt materials and develop the U-COACH system; that is the knowledge base, the self-diagnostic tools, the training area and the support system. Materials and contents to be integrated in the self-learning system will be addressed and adapted (WP 4 and 5), as well as the planification of this system (WP6).
Once the system is developed, it will be evaluated and validated (phase 3) by representatives of the target public, developing a validation and evaluation methodology and fieldwork in order to obtain the results of the evaluation (WP7). These results will indicate the improvements that must be made to the self-learning system, both in its technological components and in its contents. These improvements will be implemented in the system in order to fully adapt it to the needs of the target public (WP6).
The appraisal will be carried out from the beginning of the project, designing awareness and diffusion to present to recipients and potential users all of the possibilities offered by U-COACH products and results. Activities will be performed in order to raise awareness about solutions to user needs, regarding people management through executive coaching (WP8) and finally, activities will be performed to highlight the results (WP9).
